We had such a comfy stay at Pousada Baluarte. It felt like we were in our own home - we cooked there and even had a small party. The staff were extremely helpful. I will return to Salvador and I will return to this Pousada.

Great location, amazing service and impeccable cleanliness. It's great to walk around the historical parts of Pelourinho from the coolest side starting at the nearby square and the calm street full of charming stores, authentic pubs, regional food restaurants while experiencing the slow Salvador vibe!

Feels like a home stay with soul. Breakfast is super tasty, the rooms and house have an Old world flair and the location is perfect for those who want to be in a quiet and safe residential area, with great food options walking distance, and a mere 15 minutes walking from the historical center. the pousada is quiet, clean, with good mattress, an aircon not noisy, it is very comfortable and safe. The breakfast is fresh, varied and excellent. you feel at your home.||furthemore, the pousada has many good books to read.||Zelina the manager is nice and very helpfull.

Lovely residence with clean, peaceful, comfortable rooms. Amazing breakfast with fresh fruit, delicious baked goods, and good coffee. Quiet and safe street near scenic overlook. Host is helpful and accommodating. Absolutely exceeded my expectations!
